Espino has been named to the Nationals' 60-man player pool, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.

The 33-year-old's only big-league experience came back in 2017 for the Brewers and Rangers, and since then he's bounced around Triple-A, posting a 5.65 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 93:24 K:BB in 92.1 innings for Fresno last season. Espino will provide emergency pitching depth for the Nats during the abbreviated 2020 campaign.
