Nationals' Rafael Bautista: Recalled from Triple-A, enters lineup

The Nationals recalled Bautista from Triple-A Syracuse ahead of their doubleheader Sunday against the Mets. He'll start in right field in Game 1 of the twin bill and bat eighth, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Bautista will take the active roster spot of A.J. Cole, who was optioned to Triple-A following his spot start Friday. With a bevy of outfielders on the disabled list, Bautista will provide some needed depth, but it's not expected that he'll see regular at-bats with Howie Kendrick, Michael Taylor and Alejandro De Aza seemingly viewed as manager Dusty Baker's preferred healthy starters at this time.
