Fuentes (suspension) has been named to the Nationals' 60-man player pool, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.

The 23-year-old right-hander was enjoying a breakout 2019 when he got hit with a 50-game suspension after testing positive for a banned stimulant, and adding him to the 60-man pool could be the Nats' way of ensuring the rest of the suspension is considered served when the 2021 season begins. Fuentes posted a 2.69 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 63:15 K:BB in 63.2 innings for Double-A Harrisburg last year.
