Stewart was placed on the 60-day injured list with right knee osteochondral defect Tuesday.
Manager Brandon Hyde said Tuesday that Stewart has been dealing with a sore knee throughout the second half of the season, and he'll undergo a procedure in the coming weeks to aid in his recovery. However, the 27-year-old is expected to be ready for spring training in 2022. He appeared in a career-high 100 games this year and hit .204 with 12 homers, 39 runs and 33 RBI.
