Smith (concussion) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Steve Melewski of MASNsports.com reports.
Smith is slated to play at Triple-A for the next two days before likely being activated from the 7-day injured list ahead of the Orioles' series opener in Seattle on Thursday. He's been on the shelf since June 7 due to the concussion.
