Lucas was designated for assignment Saturday.

Lucas was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Friday after posting a 5.74 ERA across 15.2 innings with Baltimore this season. His designation created a spot on the 40-man roster for the recently acquired Aaron Brooks.
