Severino was diagnosed with a head contusion but showed no evidence of concussion-like symptoms after leaving Wednesday's game at Texas, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Severino was hit by a foul tip in the mask and was forced to exit during the first inning Wednesday, but he appears to have avoided a concussion. The 25-year-old should be considered day-to-day.
