Padres' Christian Villanueva: Battling nagging finger issue

Villanueva is battling a nagging right middle finger injury, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

The nature of the injury is not clear, but the way it was described makes it sound as though it isn't a particularly serious one. He's not in the lineup Wednesday against the Rockies but could be available to pinch hit.
