Chacin fired seven innings of one-run ball Wednesday, walking two and striking out eight in a 3-1 loss to the Brewers.

Despite turning in one of his best outings of the season, Chacin was not rewarded with a win after the Padres struggled to put up runs against Matt Garza. The eight strikeouts represented a season high for the veteran starter. While his 4.43 ERA won't excite fantasy owners, Chacin has been pitching better of late, posting a 3.04 ERA and 1.10 WHIP over his last four starts. He will look to carry the momentum from Wednesday's start into his next matchup against the Mets next Tuesday.
