Padres' Keone Kela: Shifts to 60-day IL

The Padres transferred Kela (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Sunday.

The transaction opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for outfielder Wil Myers, who was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list in a corresponding move. Kela has already been ruled out for the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery, so his move to the 60-day IL won't have any bearing on his timeline to rejoin the Padres.
