Cozens was added to the Phillies' 40-man roster on Friday.

The Phillies protected Cozens from the Rule 5 draft, as expected. He led the minors with 40 home runs last year, but that oversells the offensive profile. Cozens posted a 31.7 percent strikeout rate, hit .197 against lefties and hit 29 of his 40 home runs in Reading, which is a very hitter-friendly environment, particularly for left-handed hitters. He also has some significant makeup concerns. Cozens will undoubtedly get a chance to prove his power can play against major league righties, perhaps as soon as the second half of 2017, but it is highly likely that this will be the peak of his dynasty league value.
