Moran agreed to a one-year, $2.8 million contract with the Pirates on Friday, avoiding arbitration.

Moran was on a tear early in the season but predictably cooled off, finishing with a still solid .247/.325/.472 slash line and 10 home runs in 200 plate appearances. He should split time between first base and designated hitter (assuming there is one in the National League) during his age-28 season.
