Pirates first base prospect Stetson Allie homered twice, which included a grand slam, during a 10-9 win for Double-A Altoona Wednesday. Allie finished 3 for 3 with one double, two walks, three runs and five RBI.

Allie has homered four times in his last five games to bring his season total to five. He is batting .291 with a .400 on-base percentage, .655 slugging percentage, 1.055 OPS, five doubles, 11 runs and 13 RBI in 15 games. He also has nine walks and 13 strikeouts.

"Getting a good cage routine, sticking to my approach and really focusing on the work before the game," Allie said about his early season success, per MLB.com. "When I go into the game where I had a good work day, it seems like in the game I'm a little bit more patient, I'm looking for a little bit better pitch selection and everything seems a little bit slow in the game instead of speeding up."
