Garcia was claimed off waivers by the Rangers on Wednesday.

Garcia was designated for assignment by the Giants on Friday to make room on the 40-man roster for prospects who were protected from the Rule 5 draft. He'll find a new opportunity with the Rangers and is expected to be fully healthy in time for spring training after missing the entire 2020 season with a hip injury.
