Tate was placed on the minor league DL Wednesday with a right hamstring strain, the Fort Worth Start-Telegram's Stefan Stevenson reports.
Fortunately the young flamethrower's injury is to his lower half, but the injury will still cost him some time. He had not allowed an earned run in 10.2 innings (two starts) with Low-A Hickory, and had recorded 16 strikeouts in the process, so Tate's overall dynasty league value is still trending up, despite the injury.
