Hoying struck out in all four of his at-bats in Friday's 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Hoying may have piqued some interest in deeper mixed or AL-only leagues after falling a triple shy of the cycle in a four-hit, three-run performance Wednesday against the Phillies, but he's gone just 1-for-11 in his other three starts since being promoted to the big leagues earlier this week. The 28-year-old still figures to see the bulk of starts in center field while Carlos Gomez (hamstring) is sidelined for the next 4-6 weeks, but Hoying should be viewed as more of a defensive specialist and is likely to occupy the No. 8 or 9 spot in most games.
