Taveras has logged four steals over 23 contests in August, batting .254 (17-for-67) this month. The outfielder continues to hit regularly at the bottom of the order, though a recent slump has started to see him yield playing time in center field. Taveras has disappointed this season with a .229/.285/.348 slash line while adding nine home runs, 38 RBI, 16 steals and 48 runs scored over 442 plate appearances.
