Barnette was placed on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday with a right shoulder strain.
The shoulder began barking again Tuesday and has now sent Barnette to the DL for the second time this season. He missed just a little more than the minimum 10 days in April, but the team may be more cautious this time around. Chris Martin was recalled in a corresponding move.
