Rays' Jacob Faria: Activated and headed for bullpen
Faria (abdomen) was activated from the disabled list Friday, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Faria is ready to return to action after missing nearly a month with his abdominal injury. He posted quality ratios over 13 starts with the Rays earlier this season -- a 3.32 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 77:29 K:BB over 78.2 innings -- but the Rays' rotation is full, so he will pitch out of the bullpen for the time being -- and maybe the rest of the way in order to limit his innings.
