The Red Sox have optioned pitcher Dalier Hinojosa to make room for infielder Luis Jimenez, according to the Providence Journal.
Hinojosa made his major league debut Sunday, throwing 1 2/3 scoreless innings without allowing a hit against the Yankees. Jimenez appeared in eight games this season for the Brewers before the team designated him for assignment. Jimenez is hitting .067 with one run scored in 15 at-bats.
