Red Sox's Andrew Benintendi: Drives in three Thursday

Benintendi went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and three RBI in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Athletics.

Both of Benintendi's doubles came off starter Daniel Gossett, with the second chasing the rookie from the game while driving in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning. He also hit a two-run single in the seventh and notched a pair of outfield assists on defense, making up for an earlier error. Benintendi's hot hitting in the second half has his season line up to .280/.360/.443.
