The Red Sox selected Shugart's contract from Triple-A Worcester on Monday.

Across 59.2 innings with Worcester this season, Shugart has posted a 4.98 ERA and 71:29 K:BB. The 27-year-old will be making his major-league debut if or when he gets into a game.
