Red Sox's David Price: Wins Sunday against Astros

Price (2-1) allowed three runs on eight hits and three walks with three strikeouts over five innings in a win Sunday against Houston.

Price's control problems were obvious, as he threw two wild pitches and hit a batter on top of the three walks. He probably shouldn't have been sent out for the sixth inning, as he was already over 100 pitches when Jake Marisnick hit a leadoff home run to end his night. That mistake will mar what was otherwise a start characterized by excellent damage control, but either way, Price has yet to hit a rhythm since returning from injury in late May. His ERA sits at 5.14 in his four starts since returning.
