Red Sox's Matt Barnes: Dealing with hip issue
Barnes has been diagnosed with left hip inflammation and was unavailable for Friday's game against the Astros, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.
Barnes underwent an MRI on Thursday that confirmed the diagnosis. The injury isn't expect to hold Barnes out for long, and he could return sometime within the next few days. More news on his status will likely surface within the near future when he's closer to playing.
