Munoz signed a one-year contract with the Red Sox on Wednesday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.
The 25-year-old's contract was selected by Boston at the end of August, and he had a .844 OPS in 45 plate appearances before landing on the injured list with back spasms. Munoz should be in competition for a utility role at spring training for the Red Sox.
