Reed (knee) is throwing but is still a couple weeks away from returning to the mound, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Reed has been sidelined with the left knee sprain since late May when he joined the Reds for a doubleheader. The 26-year-old is currently on the minor-league injured list and is building up his strength in the throwing program.
