Moscot (elbow) underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery on Tuesday.

He had been on the minor league DL at Triple-A Louisville with elbow inflammation for a couple weeks, and it appears that the worst-case scenario has been realized. Moscot will likely miss most, if not all of 2017, given when the surgery took place this year, but he should be fully recovered in time for the 2018 season. That said, he has a 6.82 ERA in eight big league starts, and should struggle to get a shot in a big league rotation upon his return.
