Davis (back) has been placed on the DL at Triple-A Louisville, Zach Buchanan of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Davis has a knot in his back and shoulder area that knocked him out of his previous start for Louisville. As a result Davis was unavailable for Tuesday's start in Toronto, which instead will go to Asher Wojciechowski.
