Rockies' Carlos Gonzalez: Continues late-season surge
Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two RBI and two runs during Saturday's win over San Diego.
This was the veteran's fifth homer over his past nine games, and he also has eight RBI and 10 runs during that stretch. It's been a long time coming for Gonzalez, but he appears to have found a groove of late. Considering how poorly he hit earlier this season, it's worth checking waiver wires to see if he's available. It's also worth noting that Colorado finishes the season with six consecutive games at hitter-friendly Coors Field.
