Benintendi went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and five RBI in Wednesday's 9-8 loss to the Orioles.

He took Dillon Tate deep in the ninth inning for a three-run blast that brought the Royals back to within a run after the bullpen had somehow surrendered nine runs in the eighth, but the late rally fell short. The homer was Benintendi's first since Aug. 20 and 13th of the year, and he slashed only .231/.261/.354 over that 16-game power drought.
