Royals' Edinson Volquez: Starting Game 1 of World Series

Volquez will get the start for Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday, Bob Nightengale of of USA Today reports.

Volquez was given the Game 1 start in the ALCS as well, tossing six innings of two-hit, shutout ball en route to grabbing the win in the opening game of the series. The 32-year-old didn't fare as well in his Game 5 start, allowing five runs over five innings, but he'll be given the call to oppose Matt Harvey and the Mets.
