Royals' Edward Olivares: Seeing steady playing time
1 min read
Olivares will start in right field and bat cleanup Monday against the Orioles.
Starting for the seventh time in nine games, Olivares looks to have settled in as the Royals' primary right fielder over Ryan O'Hearn since being called up from Triple-A Omaha on Aug. 27. Olivares has produced a pedestrian .215/.267/.418 over 86 plate appearances, but as a 25-year-old who had some repute as a prospect, the Royals are expected to give him a long look in September.
