Royals' Kelvin Herrera: Blows save Friday

Herrera served up a game-tying, two-run home run to Kennys Vargas in the ninth inning Friday to blow his second save of the season in an extra-inning loss to the Twins.

The Royals had to go to their bullpen early after Nate Karns left with forearm tightness, and after Herrera couldn't get the job done in the ninth they didn't have anybody left who could keep Minnesota off the board in extras. After giving up only six homers in 72 innings last season, Herrera's already been tagged for five in 18 innings in 2017, leading to a bloated 4.50 ERA.
