Royals' Lorenzo Cain: Placed on DL with strained hamstring

Cain (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day DL on Wednesday, MLB.com's Jeffrey Flanagan reports.

He left Tuesday's game with a strained left hamstring, which was obviously serious enough to warrant a trip to the DL. Cain will not be able to return until at least after the All-Star break. Brett Eibner was recalled from Triple-A as a corresponding move, and he should see some starts in the outfield corners while Paulo Orlando and Jarrod Dyson man center field.
