Torres will start at second base and lead off Sunday against the Angels, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.

Torres will get a rare start at the keystone in place of Whit Merrifield, who will get a breather following 21 straight starts. The 24-year-old Torres has gotten off to a 3-for-9 start at the plate since joining the Royals earlier this month after opening the season with Triple-A Omaha, where he slashed .327/.349/.445 across 221 plate appearances.
