Tanner Scheppers opening act

Well, we made it to another opening day. There will be plenty of storylines to talk about once opening day is over, but the one performance I'm most looking forward to is how Rangers starting pitcher Tanner Scheppers handles himself in his first major-league start.

It was disappointing to see early in Scheppers' career when the Rangers converted him to a reliever knowing the hard-throwing right-hander could have serious potential as a starter. But now I'm really intrigued to see what Scheppers can do, especially since he has relief-pitcher eligibility in standard Head-to-Head leagues.

Scheppers has always had good strikeout potential and the wins could be there as well pitching for a contender. He performed pretty well this spring, going 1-1 with a 3.07 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 14 strikeouts in 14 2/3 innings.

I've added Scheppers in pretty much every league I could, so hopefully he will be able to carry over his spring success into the regular season.
