Zimmermann (5-4) allowed two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three over six innings but came away with a no-decision in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Red Sox.

The right-hander was in line for the win before Boston scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth off Alex Wilson. Zimmermann threw 64 of 94 pitches for strikes in recording his second straight quality start and fourth of the year, but his 5.72 ERA and 1.55 WHIP are still a long way from satisfactory. He'll next take the mound Thursday at home against the Rays.
