Perez went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Monday's 8-4 loss against the Guardians.
Perez entered as a pinch-hitter in the seventh inning and then took Hunter Gaddis deep in the ninth for his eighth homer of the year. Perez was initially given the day off, but he continues to be a tough bat to keep off the field for the Tigers. The 24-year-old is hitting .249/.302/.399 with 29 RBI and nine stolen bases through 88 games in his rookie campaign.
