Frazier exercised the opt-out clause in his minor-league contract Friday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

Frazier missed some time this spring due to lower-back tightness and wasn't slated to begin the season on the major-league roster, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. The 35-year-old still plans to play in 2021 but will search for a new opportunity in free agency.
