Buxton (hip) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.
Buxton exited the series opener Monday with right hip discomfort and will remain on the bench for the second day in a row as the Twins and Royals wrap up their three-game set. On a positive note, imaging on Buxton's hip returned negative, so the Twins are seemingly viewing him as day-to-day and are hopeful that he'll avoid a stint on the injured list. Austin Martin will cover center field Wednesday in Buxton's stead.
