Quentin was re-assigned to minor league camp.
With Quentin and Darin Mastroianni getting sent down and Ryan Sweeney earlier released, it all but guarantees that Byron Buxton will begin the season in center field and Oswaldo Arcia will win a spot on the bench. Quentin showed he can play again after retiring early in 2015 due to chronic knee issues. He hit .250 (9-for-36) with two home runs in 15 spring games. If he plays well at Triple-A, he could be called up early in the season if the Twins have an opening.
