Paddack (forearm) has started playing catch but will undergo another MRI on Aug. 27 before taking the next step in his recovery, MLB.com reports.
Paddack has been out since July 14 due to a right forearm strain. The fact that he won't ramp up his recovery any further before Aug. 27 makes it seem as though a return in late September would be a best-case scenario. The Twins may look to use him as a reliever in the playoffs as a result, as they did in 2023.
