Dobnak (1-7) allowed five runs on six hits over seven innings Friday, striking out two without walking a batter and taking a loss against the Rays.
It was a very up-and-down outing for Dobnak, who made his first start since June 19 after missing time with a finger injury. The Rays tallied all five runs and six hits during the second and third innings but the 26-year-old righty retired the last 15 batters he faced. He actually lowered his ERA slightly to 7.64 alongside a 27:12 K:BB through 50.2 innings. Dobnak is lined up to take the mound in Cleveland next week.
