Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said Dobnak (finger) will be activated from the 60-day injured list to start Friday's series opener in Tampa Bay, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Dobnak initially looked on track to start Wednesday's home game versus the Cubs, but the Twins opted to give him a couple extra days to rest up after he completed the final start of his minor-league rehab assignment at Triple-A St. Paul over the weekend. He covered 4.2 innings and tossed 78 pitches in that outing, so he shouldn't face any significant restrictions with his workload as he makes his first start for the Twins since June 19. Dobnak has been on the shelf for over two months with a strained middle finger on his pitching hand.
