White Sox's Carlos Rodon: Second opinion yields same diagnosis
Rodon (shoulder) received a second opinion Monday and nothing new was discovered, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
The lefty has been ruled out for the year, but the latest news is positive as it's been confirmed that Rodon is merely dealing with inflammation in his shoulder. He missed the start of the season with shoulder bursitis, but with a full offseason of rest, Rodon will hopefully be at full strength for the start of spring training. Dylan Covey has taken over for Rodon in the White Sox's starting rotation.
