White Sox's Duke Ellis: Removed from 40-man roster

Ellis was designated for assignment by the White Sox on Sunday.

Chuckie Robinson will take Ellis' place on the 40-man roster. Ellis appeared in eight games with the White Sox recently but logged only four at-bats. He's spent most of his time this season with Double-A Birmingham, slashing .258/.341/.308 across 141 plate appearances.
