Yankees' CC Sabathia: To have minor knee procedure

Sabathia will have a "routine cleanup" of his right knee this month but it will not affect his status for the 2017 season, the Bergen Record's Pete Caldera reports.

He is coming off his best season since 2012, logging a 3.91 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 152 strikeouts in 179.2 innings. Those aren't exciting numbers, and his 4.28 FIP suggests it might not be completely sustainable, but at least he's back on the radar as a late-round innings eater heading into 2017.
