Frazier (eye/head) was assigned to Low-A Tampa to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday.
The 26-year-old has been going through his rehab work at the Yankees' complex in Tampa, and he'll head to the Low-A affiliate to start his rehab stint. Frazier has been sidelined since the end of June and may require a handful of games in the minors before being activated. He's unlikely to have much of a role for New York once healthy following the acquisition of Joey Gallo at the trade deadline.
