Gallo was removed from Wednesday's loss to the Blue Jays after being hit by a pitch on the right forearm and is scheduled to undergo X-rays, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.

Gallo went 0-for-2 with a run scored before being pulled for a pinch hitter during the ninth inning. Manager Aaron Boone said the slugger was lifted because he wasn't physically able to take his scheduled at-bat, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com, and it's unclear whether he'll be forced to miss any time with only four games left in the regular season.
