Manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that he isn't sure whether Andujar (wrist) will be able to return in 2021, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.

Andujar began a rehab assignment in mid-August but suffered an apparent setback in his recovery recently. As a result, his rehab assignment was shut down, and he was transferred to the 60-day injured list Monday. While the Yankees were initially optimistic that Andujar could return to minor-league game action in the near future, it's now less clear whether he'll have enough time to recover in time to rejoin the big-league club by the end of the year.
